Q & A with George:
We sat down with Head Coach George Moni to get his perspective on GRFC and soccer in GR.
1. What made you want to coach for GRFC?
The opportunity to take soccer in Grand Rapids to the next level. Doing something for our city and soccer loving community excites me. …
2. What is your preferred style of play?
I prefer an attractive style of play with a more possession oriented offense combined with a disciplined defense that can press high on the pitch when dispossessed.
3. Do you have a favorite formation?
4-3-3,or variation of it, but the quality of our players will dictate our system. Once we create stability then we will concentrate more on our system.
4. Are there any players, in particular, you are looking forward to working with this summer?
All players. We have so much talent locally and that’s going to be great for our chemistry and provide a strong foundation. I am excited to work with all of them.
5. What are you most excited about seeing this summer?
The fans and supporter group. Hopefully we lay down the foundation for greater things to come for our city.
6. If you had one message for the fans, what would it be?
Come out and support us. This is a GR team and would love to see the entire soccer loving community behind us.
